About Us :
Shandon Pistol and Rifle Club was formed early in 1973.
At that time , its membership resided mainly in the Dumbarton / Helensburgh area and shot full bore rifle and pistol.
Since its inception the Club has branched out and now shoots a wide variety of disciplines at various ranges throughout Scotland.
The Club has , since the Handgun ban of 1997 , been joined by a number of members from clubs south of the River Clyde and now covers West Central Scotland in its membership catchment area .
The Club offers a wide variety of shooting disciplines , including :
Black Powder Pistol and Rifle .
.22 Sporting and Veteran rifle .
Pistol Calibre Carbine Rifle .
Miniature Cannon .
Full Bore Military and Sporting Rifle .
As the Club does not have a range of our own we hire various ranges throughout Central Scotland , thereby providing our membership with the widest choice of Target Shooting available to any known club in the country .

Bearsden
Ardeer, Stevenston
National Sports Training Centre ( Largs ) No longer available. Sports Scotland decided that Target shooting was not profitable enough for them so closed the range after 50 years of safe use !
